Craftsmanship

At Alankaram, craftsmanship begins with the selection of high-quality materials. We work predominantly with Indian CP Teak, Steam Beech, and White Ash wood, all of which are known for their durability and strength. Each piece of wood is carefully selected, treated, and seasoned to ensure that it is resistant to warping, cracking, or splitting, even in extreme conditions.

Our artisans employ traditional woodworking techniques, such as mortise and tenon joinery, dovetail joints, and intricate hand-carving, to create furniture that is both strong and aesthetically pleasing. These techniques have been passed down through generations, and our team of over 350 artisans brings their wealth of experience to every project.

Precision Meets Innovation
While traditional craftsmanship is at the heart of Alankaram, we also embrace modern technology to enhance precision and efficiency. Our factory is equipped with advanced CNC machines, which allow for intricate designs and precise cuts that would be difficult to achieve by hand alone. These machines ensure that every piece of furniture is crafted with the utmost precision, while still maintaining the artisan’s touch in the finishing stages.
Each piece undergoes multiple stages of quality checks, from initial construction to final assembly and finishing. Our artisans carefully sand, stain, and polish the furniture by hand, ensuring that every surface is smooth and every detail is perfect.
