Will I get the exact same design, finish and fabric as shown online?

Alankaram’s designs constantly evolve, and some variations may occur. Each piece of furniture, individually handmade by our artisans, brings unique character - one can expect slight differences in size, shape, and finishes making them truly one-of-a-kind. Wood and stone being natural materials, have different grains and react differently to staining. Hence, the final colour, grains and appearance may differ from the photograph or sample shown. Whereas our handmade fabrics have some variation in print, colour, patches, patterns, etc. Fabrics used in the furniture items are subject to availability, which will be confirmed post-receipt of the payment

What are the types of woods used?

We primarily work with Indian CP teakwood and White Oak.

What modifications/customisations are possible?

Alankaram can customise the furniture for wood type, wood finish, size and upholstery.

How do I care for my Alankaram furniture?

In which cities do you deliver?

Alankaram delivers furniture across India. For overseas delivery, please check with our team beforehand, as overseas delivery is subject to customs regulations.

What are the modes of delivery?

Smaller quantities are shipped through Safexpress, and larger projects use dedicated vehicles.

How long does it take for delivery?

Orders are processed within 48-72 hours of confirmation. Dispatch time varies based on product availability and will be dispatched within 3-5 working days. If the product needs to be manufactured or re-polished, the manufacturing and delivery time will be mentioned on the product page. However, the actual manufacturing will start depending on the factory schedule and available time slot for manufacturing (which may be up to a month).

What are the charges for delivery?

Shipping cost depends on furniture volume and delivery distance and will be calculated at checkout.

What if I need to change my delivery address after placing an order?

Please contact our customer service team as soon as possible if you need to change the delivery address. We will do our best to accommodate your request, but changes cannot be guaranteed once the order is dispatched.

How and when will I receive the refund?

Refunds are processed within 7 business days after receiving the returned product in its original packaging, issued through the original transaction mode. All refunds will be issued through the same transaction mode (e.g. credit card or net banking) used in the original purchase.

Is it possible to cancel my order?

When are the returns permissible, and under what conditions?

All furniture should be opened and checked for any defect/damage. Claims for transit damage must be notified at the time of delivery on the delivery challan and AWB/consignment copy. Any transit damage claim will not be considered if not notified at the time of delivery.

Can I return a product found to be defective upon use after some time?

If the product is within the warranty period, please get in touch with our Customer Care representative with the order ID and images of the defective product. We will endeavour to repair or replace the product per the warranty terms specified on our site.
